Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs tomatillos
5 fresh serronos or jalapeños
4 garlic cloves, unpeeled
1/2 cup fresh cilantro
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
2 teaspoon coarse salt

- Preheat broiler.
- Remove husk and clean tomatillos.
- Broil chilies, tomatillos and garlic on broiler pan 2 to 3 inches from heat, turning once, until tomatillos are softened and lightly charred, about 7 minutes.
- Peel garlic and pull off top of chiles.
- Put all ingredients in blender and purée.
